ImgSource Extras

These pages demonstrate the results of the various ImgSource 24-bit image resizing methods. One page shows all methods as used for a reduction, the other page shows methods as used for enlargement.
Here are performance comparisons for the various resizing methods.

Look at the ImgSource tips, tricks and C++ code samples page. This will be useful for C/C++ programmers using ImgSource, or for anyone who wants to get a feel for how to do some typical ImgSource things.

CISImageEx is a simple C++ wrapper class for the ImgSource functions. It wraps the file I/O functions and a few of the image processing functions. Adding more ImgSource function wrappers should be very simple. A Sample MFC application is included which demonstrates the use of CISImageEx. Note : CISImageEx is not required for ImgSource to work with MFC!
The sample application is a simple MDI image viewer. It demonstrates things like efficient drawing, 256 color display handling, and image reading and writing.

This is a full-featured image editing demo application. It has a dozen image editing functions, image sub-rect editing (draw a rectangle with the mouse and all image operations only affect that rectangle), clipboard support, single-level undo-redo capability, dynamic histogram and pixel info display, an image preview file browsing dialog and more. The user interface isn't commercial quality, but that's not the point. :)
This uses ImgSource version 2.2 . It could probably be converted to ImgSource v4.0 in less than an hour.
The default setup is to use the ImgSource static libs. You will need to download these and place them in the ISLibs folder (inside the ImgTweak folder). See ISLibSetup.h to change this.

Glenn Chittenden, of GCJR Software has written a type library that provides VB function declarations for the ImgSource v 2.2 and 2.1 functions.
