SACrypt - Easy file encryption

SACrypt is an Explorer context menu extension that allows you encrypt (and then decrypt) files from within Explorer (or any standard file browsing window).

General Instructions

Encryption

1. Select a file (or group of files) from Explorer
2. Right-click on the files
3. Select the SACrypt/Encrypt menu item
4. Enter the password you want to use to encrypt this file. Passwords must be at least 4 characters long.
5. Choose the encryption method. If you don't know which method to choose, don't worry, they all provide decent security.
6. Press OK

SACrypt will generate encrypted copies of the files you have selected. SACrypt chooses unique names for the output files to avoid overwriting any other file in the current folder.

Ex.
If you selected the file MyFile.Txt to encrypt, SACrypt will try to create a file, in the same folder, called MyFile._xt. If there is already a file with that name in the current folder, SACrypt will try MyFile1._xt then MyFile2._xt and so on, until it finds a file name that is unique in the current folder.

Decryption

Decryption follows the same steps as encryption (except, of course, you should choose "Decrypt" from the Explorer menu). You can only decrypt a file if you know the correct password. There is no way to recover a password and there are no "backdoors" in the encrypted files. Don't lose your passwords!.
