    Default masteridxelement html template problem

    I'm modifying my html template to include the 'master index' page and I can't get good output for it. Namely, html output doesn't get produced at the masteridxgroup & masteridxelement level. Here's my code for the masteridxelement, which is the same code I used for the idxchildelement:

    I thought that recycling code in this case would work, but I'm not getting any html output, including any errors that help me find a bad variable. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    there's a slight bug in the UI that might be causing this.

    go to Advanced / HTML Output and select "Use current HTML Setup settings" (ie. turn off your template). The go to Index Pages / Master Index Page and check "Create Master Index Page".

    hit OK, to save all the settings.

    the, press Advanced, got to HTML Output and re-enable your template.

    the bug is that you can't get to the checkbox to enable master index pages if you're using an external template.

    Thanks for the tip - I tried this and the same thing happened. I *do* get a master_index.htm file in the directory I expect it to be created. The problem is, I think, at the masteridxgroup or masteridxelement level. I didn't post this before, but here's the masteridxgroup code, too:

    Code:
    @:masteridxgroup
    @
        <tr>
          <td>
    @@masteridxelement
          </td>
          <td>
    @@masteridxelement
          </td>
          <td>
    @@masteridxelement
          </td>
          <td>
    @@masteridxelement
          </td>
        </tr>

    >@:masteridxgroup
    >@

    There is a + there - I must have deleted it by mistake from my post....? I did just now verify that it is in my code, though.

    Code:

    Perhaps this will be helpful too, the actual output from my master_index.htm:

    Code:
    <html>
    <head>

    <title>Freshwater Fish Index</title>
    </head>
    <body bgcolor="#000000" text="#FFFFFF" vlink="#c0c0ff" link="#c0c0d0" alink="c0c0e0">

    <center>
      <font face="arial" size=4 color="#a0a0a0">
        Freshwater Fish Index

      </font>
    </center>

    <center>
      <table>

      </table>
    </center>

    </body>
    </html>
    Thanks!
